Join RETCC Director Susan Korrick in a conversation with Mahsa Yazdy, PhD, and Kathryn Taylor, ScD, SM as they talk about their inspiring career trajectories.

Panelists:

Mahsa Yazdy, PhD, MPH is the Principal Investigator (PI) and the Director of the Massachusetts Center for Birth Defects Research and Prevention at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the Boston University School of Public Health. Dr. Yazdy received her MPH in Epidemiology from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and received a PhD in Epidemiology from the Boston University School of Public Health.

 

 

Kathryn Taylor ScD, SM is a Research Epidemiologist and Director of the Soldier Performance Health and Readiness (SPHERE) Database at the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM). Dr. Taylor received a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology and a Doctorate of Science in Environmental Health from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health where she studied the impact of traumatic brain injuries on neurological health throughout the life-course. Her current research primarily focuses on quantifying the impact of military relevant occupational risk factors on injuries and neuropsychological health endpoints and evaluating the long-term implications of these health outcomes on military readiness and resiliency.
